I have a oversized Skimz FR for my 2ft cube tank..

Seeking opinion regarding this... If I'm running only 250ml of media (sorb 4 or rowaphos), would it be ok ? Though the recommended media to run in it is 500 to 1000ml..

But theoretically . As long as I have a feed pump suitable for this FR.. The lesser amount of media should not be an issue .. Am I right to say this?

Lesser media also save cost for me ..

Or anyone like to trade a smaller Skimz FR with me ?

yes, you are right to say that but its better to have a smaller fr for smaller volume.

whats the size of ur FR?

Mine is the smaller brothers of yours... :eyebrow:

I'm actually running carbon and phosphate media in the FR... :upsidedown:

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Equipment List:

erm peter...u run both media in the same FR? can be done ar? i thought different size will affect the fluidization? cause if can i also wanna try

You need to seperate both media in the FR. Pack the carbon at the bottom, then place filter wool above the carbon, then put the GFO (Rowa Phos etc) above it. Reason for this simply is that you do not want the carbon to fluidize because this will create carbon dust and you need the GFO to fluidize in order to have max effectiveness. For me I put carbon and GFO in 2:1 ratio meaning 1L of carbon and 500ml of GFO and I change them out every 1-2 months or so.
