jackywongto
Normal bro. Part and parcel of new tank. U can tank put the rocks and scrub with toothbrush in a pail of saltwater, rinse clean then put back. Tuxedo urchin and blennies (bicolour/ tailspot) are good algae cleaners once yr tank is cycled. (do note tux urchin eats coraline algae too). Nuisance algae last for about 2 - 3 months. Be prepared. U are using DI water right? seanewbie
too much nutrients....usually cause by feeding and food source....change yr water 10%-20%, alternate days for next one week and reduce your feeding to once a day and dun feed those market prawns or fish...they tend to cause these brown algae... Bro Ah Siang, i'm still cycling my tank. About 3 days ago, I put bio clean. Do feeding as no fish yet.

seanewbie
Algae as in algae on your tank walls or rocks? As I see should be brown algae on your rocks? Use carbon to remove DOCs and phosphate removers to reduce the phosphates in your tank. Noted bro. 1 thing i'm missing is putting carbon in the tank? Should i put it? vurbul
Once stable, you can add in some snails. Sure clean, your rocks. I'm still having brown algae in mine. I only have one turbo snail in there. Cant keep up. But no problem clean them once a week and done.

If you are intending to go through the full 3 weeks of cycling, then no need to add. If you intend to do WC this weeklend then add a fish, then better put. And to ALL the bros in the house. AM jellycan deposit = $10. Sealife saltwater are salt mixed water. They are not giving you existing tank water. The tap that they take the water from leads to a fresh salt water tank above. **next time look up and you will see the reservoir tank. So these are new and fresh saltwater, NOT existing tank water. seanewbie
Hi Guys, Finally have the chance to settle down to update forum. Been a fantastic 2nd week and water has been perfect to allow me to move the next level of adding corals...Took a trip to GO...and 1 thing lead to another.... Was abit worried as i had the same mindset before (having 4ft tank before ) and bought quite a number.... Checked my water perimeters....pheeww... all good! Have not got a good set of camera yet...all my budget goes to my tank for now..
