Lol, no lfs name to be quoted. Is a guide where price used to be and now more expensive, still valid or turned cheaper. So need everyone to chip in. True about size, QT, region, etc do play a part and as mentioned, willing seller, willing buyer. This is very applicable to angel lovers but for certain fishes, not so. Nevertheless, This list will serve as a guide for reefer to gauge and assess the worth. Just find that nowadays, disparity can be almost doubled and just don't want some reefers to feel to be carrot head at times and let opportunist succeed. The list should be base on normal walk-in price as discount varies due to rapport level, boss mood, etc. lol. For example, laboutei used to be selling above 100 but now possible to own one below 90. Good news to reefers.

A wild colony size easily can have 10-20 frags. So you do your maths and see if its worth or not. In my principle, I dont mind paying extra 20-30% more for frags that are stable n well encrusted on plugs.

Seeing the price now VS the past.... Should we update to support those lfses that are still making this hobby affordable or should we just let demand and supply do their part..... Just find the price can vary alot......take for example. Blue spotted seahare... Price can be from $20 to $11........

Not all, think certain fishes, price went down. wrasses like lineatus went down compared to the past. But in generally, most price went up.  Operating cost all went up and hence explained the increased price. Each lfs has their own business plan and strategies,  just thinking, to support those lfses that still adopting low business margin with high sale volume. Like clementi c328(always packed and crowded). However, this may not be happening to marine as farm setup is dimishing and once they moved, new place will have new rental pegged to market rate and initial setup cost. The market is adjusting and in around 2 yrs time, may not have farm setup. Mostly retail front and this hobby may soon be history to those general. Met few senior reefers and general feedback from them was the cost went up and hence killed their 'fire' to come back.

The intent of the topic is to share info so newbies can consider and manage their expectation. However, this may backfire for not so updated lfses to increase price and worst ppl going ard to demand for same price. Maybe just let the demand and supply do the work.

Maybe just let the demand and supply do the work.

i totally agree that it's nice to have a price range for new hobbyist like me to refer and know what to expect. with shipments being banned in some places, its nice to maybe be aware of expected/potential price hikes. ^_^
