NEA actually released a CD to support Earth Day 2010!

Sing-along To Singapore's First Green Song On Earth Day National Environment Agency teams up with F&B and retail stores to promote environmental ownership

Singapore, 22 April 2010 – Singaporeans will be humming to the tune of "Let's Make Our World The Most Beautiful Home" as Singapore's first environmental song will air in retail stores today.

As a symbolic gesture to show their support for the National Environment Agency's (NEA) clean and green efforts and Earth Day on 22 April, City Development Limited's (CDL) City Square Mall, IKEA, and NTUC FairPrice will be playing the song in selected outlets. This is to enable the customers to enjoy the 'green' music when they visit the stores but importantly, it aims to remind them to give due consideration to the quality environment and play their part to safeguard it.

The song, "Let's Make Our World The Most Beautiful Home", was locally composed in 2009 to commemorate 40 years of Singapore's clean and green journey. The popular song recently headlined Singapore's first environment-themed music album, Go Green, which released on 29 March 2010.

In addition, NEA, with the support of these partners, will also kick start a series of activities on Clean and Green Singapore (CGS) Facebook on Earth Day to engage the public to be more environmentally conscious and lead an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

This includes an online contest, running from 22 April to 20 May 2010, where the public are invited to submit their rendition of "Let's Make Our World The Most Beautiful Home" or photographs on how they go green. The most creative entries will stand to win attractive prizes. The public is also encouraged to participate in the weekly online quiz on different green topics and stand to win copies of the Go Green album and vouchers from City Square Mall, KFC, McDonald's, NTUC Fairprice and Starbucks.
