Hi everyone in the forum, i intend to start up a seahorse tank and now my concern is can i keep the seahorse without chiller? :thanks:

if you intend to start a seahorse tank,

i assume that you will be collecting different species of seahorses..

it would then be highly recommended to have a chiller,

as some species would require temperatures below 26degrees that can never be acheived with a cooling fan..

better to invest now,

then regret later when your precious/rare/expensive seahorse up lorry due to stress, or starts losing its colour..

Pasar Malam always have good deals for 2nd hand chillers :)

With cooling fan not really impossible to achieve below 26 degree celcius.

That's provided:

1) your tank height is shallow

2)must really get a lighting that dun generate so much heat

3)skimmer pump n return pump must not generate too much heat(notice some do)
