i had an enquiry about icecap eballasts a month ago in reefcentral, and they responded quite fast. the guy is selling me 250w icecap eballast for US$115.+ and a shipping of US$21~ for each ballasts. As for the power, it's rated 220v.... but from advises of senior reefers, they told me that not much difference from local magnetic ballasts, aside from the flicker and the much intense output, and economically, it would be of long run before u can really benefit... so i just bought locally as well which is far more cheaper than shipping from abroad.

I think Edmund was talking about bringing some in when I was ordering from the US a few months ago - search this forum and you should find it.

If not, then you will have to order from the US. Have to specify that you want the 220/240V version - it's generally a little more that what you see offered online (110V version) so ask before ordering.

I may have a spare....but will have to wire up my lights before deciding.....and that will be a while yet :D

Well I'm not in hurry. Just doing some research on the availability and cost for my future lightning system.

I saw eaquanature's webpage have a category for IceCap products but been emty for some time.

By the way, mind to share your setup with the 660? :yeah::yeah:

Not done yet but will be 8 x 80W T5, hopefully powered by 2 x IC660 (but it sounds like they now believe that 4 x 80W may be too much for one 660, so may need the third....), DIY with waterproof endcaps and SLS reflectors.....Haven't figured out how to mount them yet!
