Any advise or precaution to take when adding new live rock to existing tank?

dip in coralRX before putting into your tank.

can get rid of the worms, pest that are inside.

you can also leave it in the open for 3 - 4 hrs (*not under direct sun) and wait for any crabs/ mantis to come crawling out 1st.

Occasionally spraying saltwater over it - dun let it get dry.

As there will be some dieoffs, prepare some bacterias to dose over that few days.

In addition I would cure the live rock for another 2-3 weeks just to ensure the dieoffs don't crash my system. This applies more if I am changing live rocks in my tank.

The other thing to take note of is the changing of rockscape will prob stress your fishes. So try to do it only after your fishes have stabilised. Don't add the live rocks the day after you add a new fish into your tank. I would wait at least 2 weeks to let the fish settle down.
