Growth from my LR

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Attached is some red color looking seaweed that started growing out of my LR a couple months ago.

(1)Can someone help to identify this?

(2)Does it export nitrates or phosphates from the water?

(3)Should I trim it off? (Not sure how large it'll grow)

Thanks,

Thanks,

it is a macro algae.. not sure of the name but as what bro iskay suggest.

yes it exports nitrates and phosphates.

you could trim it off if it is hindering the look of your scape but do sell me some of it!

All mangroves, seaweed and algae have nutrients export abilities as they are around solely due to it.

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.

Hi MOssrope,

I can trim off some for you later, but not sure if it can attach itself to your LR.
