Maybe within the quoted green box should by default exclude/remove all the quoted pics, as it can be distracting to scroll through the same pics again, waste of space too.

errm pardon me for asking noob qn... but what's this rep system all about? I read the new function, but don't quite understand how it's supposed to work...

Does it mean:

we have ammo everyday to upz or down a post/thread/person?

got reload function?

got upgrade from pistol to M16 to MG then maybe phasers?

Anyway, comy: the rep system I assume, is a system of upvotes and downvotes you can give to posts. For example, Jacky gives good advice, then other members are encouraged to 'add points' by clicking the green icon after the post. If somebody trolls the forum, then you can 'minus points' by clicking the red button after the post.

I think the amount of points you can give and take away are limited and allocated daily (so someone cannot anyhow down mod away at a person he cannot get along with).

I suppose the points will go toward the reputation of the account, to help us differentiate between trolls and genuine members.

I see i see... V handy feature! hope that there's a limted ammo per day that can be dished out by a reefer to a reefer that 'reloads' everyday and perhaps as reputation or seniority grows, will have abit more ammo.

The mods will be discussing this in details some time later to set up a proper system.

At the moment, senior reefers are allocated 10 positive ammo points and 5 negative ammo points daily.

you cannot vote for yourself - which makes sense ..lol

juniors and newbies will have lesser daily ammo points till they are upgraded.

Yup very handy feature, in theory if it works, it can substitute for a buy/sell forum feedback system. Cos high post count doesn't mean reliable, and newbies are not always trolls.

6) Recent Status Update:

This is like "whats on your mind" box in Facebook.

Only your last status entered will be displayed.

7) Reputation points.

You are now given points that you can use to vote positively / negatively on a reefers post.

These points will add up to a reefer reputation. Stay tune for more details from the mods.

8) SRC Homepage

Check back the front page often. Besides the status update on the right, you now have "today's top posters", "recently added topics", and a list of your "watched topics" on the right hand side of the page. there is a new "recently added images" on the top row. Checked these features out. really cool stuff.

Now you can assist newbies to identify worthy to be bidded items or sales worth going for.

If you see a sale thread and the item is a good item being sold at a reasonable price, you can give that topic a higher rating.

Like wise for bids thread, if the item is a rare/ exotic frag to die for, you can give a 5* rating for that topic. If the bid is opened for a normal LS, then you can rate it a one star. This will help newbies to discern which are the real deal. Go to top of the sale/ bid topic, there is a "rate topic" field on the top right.

Just simply select the number of stars that you want to award.

I'm unable to locate where the title can be changed... Not available as a field on the Profile Information Edit page. There are also duplicate entries for Gender, Locatoin, MSN, Website URL, ICQ, etc...
