terryansimon
okay. apart from.. 1) flushing with freshwater 2) leaving it exposed 3) curing the darn thing *points 1 to 3 denote liverocks and not shrimps. * how do you remove the shrimps if its already in your tank and you've realised that they are inside your tank? Achilles Tang
I hope you meant flushing, exposing & curing the LR and not the shrimps! Getting a small octopus (NOT the venemous Blue Ring Octopus) will usually help in clearing away crabs and shrimps. Or you can employ the services of a hungry trigger. (I hope you have nothing else in your tank). Then you have to figure out how to get those out.
terryansimon
tank still cycling. I thought salinity of 1.010 would have gotten rid of crabs. but. I guess not. not too sure about shrimps. but it pays to be safe. (= although I did hear something knocking against my glass. it was feint though. may have been my joints creaking instead. FuEl
If you have turbo snails, they might be responsible for the sound..they knock their shells on the glass when they readjust themselves sometimes..by shaking left n right...real fast... terryansimon
I doubt I have turbo snails. unless they came with the rocks. I do remember one rock had a trochus snail on it and Henry said I could have it for free. hmm.

Dispar_Anthias
How about an orchid dottyback? If ther mantis is big enough, even the dottyback will be its meal.
