as per topic. can any kind reefer please advice?

Remove asap with surface skimmer or use empty cup. That surface gunk comes from food residue & particles in tank water that floats to the top. Layer has very high surface tension, even overflow cannot draw it all out. Next thing is it will quickly spawn slime algae & other undesirables growth especially under direct tank lighting.

bro how big is your cube and how many livestock you have?

skimmer that you are using?

not a cube. just 2 by 1 by 1. using red sea prizm skimmer.

The cube of henry's gourmet leh?

issit the same size as mysis cube?

From the above info, it seems a lot.

red sea skimmer is not particularly powerful

2x 1x 1 is a pretty small tank.

maybe you can use a fork and scratch the forzen food then dip the fork into the tank.

wait for the fishes to finish consuming the food then repeat again until you see them stop eating.

you should be having a lot of algae in your tank if you are over doing it and have you checked your nitrate level?

You should be able to add in the surface skimmer attachment to your redsea prizm. That should solve your immediate problem..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

+1 Even Henry feeds his fishes this way.

Attaching a surface skimmer and reduced feeding would solve the problem long term.

For now, you can just use tissue paper and drag it along the surface to remove the oil film.

That is true Jacky. I having alot of brown algae issue. Nitrate about 40ppm.

Size I feed about same as mysis cube size. In fact my purpose was to feed my sun coral rather than the fish.

dun flood your tank bro especially with 1 whole cubeof henry's food.

foul up the water very easily.

use a syringe attached to a air rubber tube and squirt the food towards the suns.

For my supersuns, I use chopstick and pick up a mysis or 2 and feed each mounth manually.

very minimum float away. I feed my blastos and rics this way too.

a little tedious but it does not foul your water.

You tank size is very small and over time, your nitrate is going to build up.
