And both sea slugs will eat the blue sponge... That's why it came with the sponge free... It was feasting on it!!!!

Your hermit's just the normal blue legged hermit... Very useful addition to the tank and nice to look at.... I had 2 in my FOWLR tank last time... So actually I dunno if it's dangerous around corals but I doubt so....

And yeah like nemesis said... You should set up a species tank for the slugs... Once they die your tank will be very much finished...

But... Cute slugs, though...

Thanks everyone for ur reply.

For the HC & purple sea slug, I bot it from AMK though diff timing. Went there y/day, no more stocks liao. Will update if I saw any there.

Correct, both my yellow cumumber & sea slugs r poisonious if they die. But my tank r free of anemone & power head. The power head is located in my sump/refugium in the overflow system. So guess it is quite save.

As for the HC, it is reef save. However, it does frighten my clams, mushrooms & etc when he walk over eat unintentionally. The good thing is that it will try to find it food in the sand, thereby shifting the top layer of the sand & detrius. It also feed on algae on the LR.

Cheers Bro.

i also got a purple and pink slug in species tank for 3 weeks. its not that i am afriad they will be sucked by ph. i am aried they will starve to death as i did not see they eat the sponge i gave them.

Hi,

besides sponge it also graze on algae, eating any Caulerpa in the tank. If regular feedings of Caulerpa are not possible, it will need a supplemented diet of parboiled lettuce and dried kelp.
