Why not try the Biopellets? It does control the po4 to a certain extent.

Btw goodbye po4 lowers po4 quickly but does it maintain the level or just temp measure?

why cant i edit the title?

wanted to do it immediately when i realise my "Pho" has no "S"..

anyway, just added biopellets few days ago...

but will take awhile for results to show..

furthermore its more effective in controlling NO3 than PO4..

Biopellets is used mainly to control the nitrate level in the tank.

Goodbye PO4 like all other liquid PO4 removers are used to reduce the PO4 levels quickly. They do not maintain the PO4 levels over the long term in any tank. For maintenance of PO4, you will to use PO4 media like Rowa Phos, Aqua Media Phos FE etc.

Thanks for the info.

I just managed to get the biopellets today. seems like a good investment if it can manage the no3 in the long run.

for most people the only hesitation for getting po4 is that it must be replaced constantly and that is very costly especially for a big or heavyload tank.

just asking how long do you does your rowa phos last you before you see signs of PO4?

how long before you need to change?

that really depends on how much rowaphos you put in and for what size of tank/bioload.

personally i have dumped 1000ml altogether for my 90g tank and lasted for 7+ months, and now i am mixing around 150ml each of rowa and GAC and replace monthly, so far so good.

Hi Kiko,

Im using Rowa Pho for PO4 removal.

During cycling for 1st 2 weeks, PO4 was very high.

After adding Rowa Pho for my humble 14G, the level dropped drastically over a period of 1 week.
