Tank Bioload

Just curious, If I am to hook up 1 more tank( 10 gallons) to my overall tank set-up ( 180 gallons), will that help to reduce/improve on my overall fish bioload and my corals' colour will turn out nicer ?

Any one?

you mean a refugium tank?...it will help to reduce nutrients...certainly will help to manage your bioload.....if you plant cheato and mangroves inside...

maintaining consistent water parameters and temp will help to improve yr corals' colours plus regular feeding...

Nope.. not a refugium tank.. what I mean will be a separate tank e.g. frag tank/specimen tank etc..

Hi David

you are just adding another 5% of water volume.

Do not expect bioload to improve much especially if you are keeping livestock in your 10gal.

corals colours will not improve with this 10 gallon implementation.

Use DI water, maintain good & stable water parameters, dose iodine regularly and also ensure you have appropriate lighting level.

my 2 cents

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

2011 resolution : Do it simpler, better and in an easier way!

Doing/have all the above.. But was thinking of doing more to improve my SPS coloration to reach those "wow" level..

Such colors can be achieved without zeovit.

Check out Danano's 4ft SPS tank.

Another link.

Don't remember him mentioning usage of zeovit? Just need good husbandry and discipline.

Always something more important than fish.

Sorry for going off topic but does anyone knows whether Danano is still in reefing? His nano tank was one of the most beautiful I have seen.

don't need zeovit for awesome colours. i know alot of reefers that dont use zeovit and still have very nice colouration.

there's no secret to nice colours in sps. just lots of light, lots of flow and stable water parameters.

zeovit is a good system but it also does not gurantee u success with sps. in the end its back to stable parameters.
