hi guys , just wondering , if a product , lets say the light write 50watt , does it mean it uses 50watt per HOUR??

Inless u use equipment to measure if not, usually more than 50

unless u use a instrument (e.g watt meter I think ) to measure. Also, IMO those made in China equipment tend to consume higher than specification given.

Whatever is indicated is the electricity usage of the product in 1 hour.

the light write 50watt ==> it uses 50watt x 1 HOUR = 50 W.h per HOUR

so for 5hours a day and for a month, it's 50w x 5H * 30 = 7500 Wh or 7.5kWh==> 7.5kWh * $0.22/kWh = S$1.65

It's generally true for lighting bulbs, however, if you are talking about equipments, it may have a higher wattage than what is labeled, and for things like chiller, or inverter aircon, will have a variable operating wattage and the labeled is the maximum.
