i heard those having problems are mostly the 110V version or those distributed in states.

The main RD2 DC problems noted have been around electromagnetic interference, controller failure, and shaft / impeller failure. I just bought one from my recent trip to Germany. I am new to this forum.

So what is the issue? You did'nt buy the pump here did you? You should be addressing your issues to the agent in Germany where you got your pump from.

Always something more important than fish.

congratulations for owning a good pump.

but then, sadly, if you didnt buy from the local agent, you wont have coverage locally.

so far i seen those who bought from Singapore agent were covered and replacements were issused whenever the red dragon fails.

and thank you for addressing me Bro, thats really friendly of you.

but i will only appreciate and feel comfortable when that term is used on me by people who knows me.

Sad to hear that Royal Exclusiv are quite serious as current generation Red Dragon pumps which I have bought have stopped.

don't need to be sad, im sure if you get the pump from a well-respected/ethical distributer and not a parallel importer, you will still get your coverage on the things you bought under the warranty period.

so just pray hard you bought it from a respected distributer and not from parallel importer.

hmm if you buy from RD, you will have a piece of mind using the very expensive pump :)

if you buy from overseas / places with no coverage of warranty, that kind of news you should have been prepare to hear..

Haiz.. another debate.. used to be if OCean runner is china made, now RE.. As a consumer who cares which country it is made from, as long as it provide me following, i will be a happy consumer.

1) Competitive Pricing

2) Provision of adequate after sales service

3) User friendly..

4) Warranty.

RD is an exclusive agent of RE for singapore, i believed RD will provide the necessary after sales service. unless there is major problem in the product over at Klaus then that is a different ball game. anyway thanks for Hock Boon on your insightful posting on RE products.

I am just an average FR (fish reefing) writer. If you like my FRs, please upz my points.
