U're right! The design is a way that no pump was needed to drawn water into the skimmer.Sorry for the late reply

2ft cube with 2.5 sump

400w MH with 6 x 24w blue T5

Hydor wavemaker controller

Aquatronica controller

Daikin compressor with double coil

Thanks fren, but in this design, will there be a problem when the water

delivered to the skimmer is mixed with air bubbles. Will it spoil the

impeller pump? Or is this of any concern at all???

Unlike using a delicated pump whereby the water draw by the pump

does not have air bubbles. :ooh:

Hi ALL,

Anyone have any comments on feeding water into an external

skimmer directly from the overflow. ie do not need additional

pump to draw water from the sump.

Is there anything that I should like out for if I go for the above

method?

Its the same for using a pump. A valve will need to be install

when on the flow down pipe to shut off the flow of water when

needed.

i still dun get it

what i mean is that if the aquabee pump with impeller wheel breaks down and there is no localised replacement ...will that be the end for the skimmer?

to tell the truth, i've not thot of that yet :P:P

Maybe can check wif reefers that had start using this skimmer.

Calling H&S skimmer user, any comments ????
