Standing by the corner throughout Jack Neo's press conference this morning was local actor-comedian and good friend to the embattled film-maker, Mark Lee. Despite being furious with Jack as reported in earlier news, Mark was there to lend his moral support to his mentor.

At the start, Mark was seen standing by the corner as he watched Jack and his wife, Irene spoke to the media but when Irene collapsed towards the end the session, Mark was one of the first to rush forward to support her.

Our reporter caught up with the actor-comedian this afternoon to check in on Irene's present state. According to Mark, he is not clear about the current situation as the couple left immediately in their pastor's car after the press conference but he added that "[irene] should be fine after a rest."

When asked about the apparent look of haggardness on Jack, Mark heaved a sigh and replied: "It's his retribution."

Mark shared that he drove Jack and his wife, Irene to the press conference this morning and that Jack and him only spoke less than five sentences during that entire session. "I didn't say much to them as they were clearly not in the best of mood."

Following this morning's drama, some members of the public and netizens have expressed their views that the film maker's act of putting his wife in the spotlight is but an added grief for her.

When asked about his thoughts, Mark believes that Jack would not force upon Irene to face the media if she had not wished to do so, and added: "It is their joint consensus to assume the responsibility together in facing up to the media."

i think the mods have been playing nice guys for far too long, and action has to be taken. we can be nice if we want. but to any future clowns, listen up and listen hard. its time to take things seriously. don't test us because we will get you. doesnt matter what kinda games you want to play, we will track you down. SRC is not a circus or a funfare where clowns can come and do as they please. Some might treat this as a playground but to others, SRC is an important integral part of the reefing society in singapore.

Being singapore's largest reefing forum, surey we can't allow such things to happen, and i hope neither does anyone else.

let this serve as a warning to any future trouble makers/ clowns. the forum does not tolerate such hooligans. its time action is to be taken.

the occasional warning etc like in the case of ahsiang/peter.tee is fine. we are all humans and all forums will have their occasional up and downs. but none of this daryl business will be tolerated anymore.

as you all know, the mods like me and fuel, reddevils etc are very nice people and we are very VERY forgiving. believe it or not i have nothing to say. i think most who meet us in real life can think for themselves. but just because we give chance often, don't step on us because we too, have our limits.

I have the privilege to meet & talk to most, if not, all the mods (even before they were mods!), and I must say there's no doubt in my mind they deserved the titles in terms of reefing knowledge and experience. Kudos to a good job done so far! Here's the appreciation:

This fella has more than 10 nicks and still counting.

We do not track duo or more username via IP address only.There is alot more ways to track and we manage to consolidate a long list of evidence to show a high percentage of links and similarity to each of his username.

I urge fellow reefers to help us in stopping such act in the forum and make this a better place to share and relax. The older reefers that have gone through previous owners era, I believe you guys will enjoy having a more active forum with many more sponsors and updates going on. A forum without anyone maintaining the law and order will inturn become unsafe and not enjoyable to be in.

I believe we have explained well enough and please do not have the idea of moderators picking on you because when we penalise, we have our reasons stated. Warnings are normally issued after we warn privately or publically.

However, most of us are adults or at least teenagers in this forum and we should know that some actions/words are totally unacceptable anywhere in our society today.

We are acting on such to help improve the forum to a better and safer place for everyone. Please bare in mind that online forums are fairly dangerous e.g scammers and cheats hanging around.

Lemon, don't take what I said/wrote as a personal attack on you. Those who know me will know that i'm a straight talking person who says things as they are and I never mince my words.

The only thing I was putting forth was that once an issue has been closed, settled and dusted, then let's just move on. There is no point to continue harping on such issues because over time, it may backfire on you if people feel that it has become a witch hunt.

don't forget we have to stop every once in awhile to deal with petty crimes all over this forum like vulgarities, explicit websites, off topic posts, etcetc. it's not easy and having finally stopped the cherade, there's some form of personal satisfaction felt too.
