Hi all,

i'm looking for a value for money (read: cheap and good) pH meter.

any recommendations?

i have a weipro pH controller, but recently decommed it, as it cannot be calibrated above 7. (i figured it's spoilt)

am thinking of getting american pinpoint... good? just not sure if i should get a pH controller, as it can be used to hook up my 'left-there-to-collect-dust' CR.

decommissioned 2.5x2x2

IMO, think u can just stick to ph monitor as once u use yr ph controller for cr, u can't use it to monitor yr tank ph as the controller will now Aids the operation for yr cr. For yr cr, some ppl just use timer and on when light is on and off when light is off. All the best in yr search.

Skimmer : BK SM200 with waste collector

Nitrate Filter : Deltec NF 509 and tee off from AB2000

Calcium R'tor : Deltec PF 501 with RM secondary chamber

Kalkwasser R'tor : Deltec KM500

Chiller : Pansonic 1 HP Compressor with 20m titanium Coil

Wave Makers : 4 X Tunze 6055 with 7096 & Vortec MP40w

Wilson,

do u want to monitor or do u want to have a fuss free ph control system. More cluttery with cr and co2 if u choose the latter. Hopefully u already have a solenoid and is ready to top up co2 from time to time. For simplicity, I will just go with pinpoint and perform weekly cal dosage. Personally, I would prefer to know what's happening to my tank and do manual interventions if time permits. Go with pinpoint, cannot be wrong. Just that u are reccommended to change the probe every 18 months.

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

2011 resolution : Do it simpler, better and in an easier way!
