Acans and brains, feed them with Mysis shrimp or brine shrimp. Candy cane can feed them with brine shrimp. You should feed them only when the feeding tentacles are extended.

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Equipment List:

Chiller: Artica 1/5HP

Chiller Pump: Sicce 4000

Return Pump: OR3500

Skimmer: Deltec APF600

Wavemaker: Tunze Wavebox/2x Hydor K2/SCWD wavemaker

Lights: DElighting 2x150W MH + 2x 39W T5 Atinic

FR: Skimz

FR Pump: Atman AT-104

Tubby ATO, Kalkweisser Reactor with magnetic stirrer.

It depends on individuals, you can try both and see which suits you better.

For me, after I have tried feeding with pumps off, I have never turn back since. I am able to get dramatic responds from the corals which I never observed when I feed with my pumps on. Then again, my total flow is about 25,000 l/hr. ;)

Switching off all the pump is fine but I just afraid that is might spoil the pump prematurely as I believe these pump are not meant to be on and off. If I were to feed 3 time a week that mean on and off 3 time.
