SRC Member Nitro Posted February 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2010 I'm writing a review of this brand of salt mix after my first use of it... 1) Very good balance of the marine chemical compounds/minerals. 2) Easy to mix and dissolve fast and well (almost no residue left in a pail of abt 20-30ltrs of water, temp is ard 27degC). 3) Initial salt reaction to the adding of water is rather volatile. Temp was kind of warm to hot to the touch when the salt comes into contact with water. 4) Clears up rather fast. Abt 20-30mins after pouring into the tank. Had used before Tropic Marine and Tropic Marine Pro-reef, Kent Marine and D&D H2Ocean. I personally find that Tropics Marine Pro-reef and BWA's Neo-marine salt mix dissolve the fastest and evenly. SRC Member Nitro Posted February 22, 2010 Author SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2010 did you test the Mg, KH, Cal, levels? Nope, I did not. I took the minerals from it's table and also from reviews on other web sites. I don't have the equipments to carry out a detail test on it compounds. Any advice on how to carry out such test?
