Depends on your budget. Can go for HnS, Deltec, BM etc.

Skimmer won't remove nitrates. It will remove the gunk from your tank water before it can break down into nitrates.

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Equipment List:

Chiller: Artica 1/5HP

Chiller Pump: Sicce 4000

Return Pump: OR3500

Skimmer: Deltec APF600

Wavemaker: Tunze Wavebox/2x Hydor K2/SCWD wavemaker

Lights: DElighting 2x150W MH + 2x 39W T5 Atinic

FR: Skimz

FR Pump: Atman AT-104

Tubby ATO, Kalkweisser Reactor with magnetic stirrer.

Water changes is the easiest and most effective way to remove nitrates. Other than that you can dose bacteria like the brightwell MB7 or Prodibio Bio Digest or Prodibio Bio Clean. Or you could use AZ NO3 which is very effective in removing large amounts of nitrates but you must have an efficient skimmer in order for AZ NO3 to work well.

nitrates are present dissolved as nitrate radicals in the tank. AZ-NO3 binds these radicals into tangible form, and the skimmer will be able to remove it. without AZ-NO3, the nitrate remains dissolve and cannot be skimmed out. so AZ-NO3 will clump it up and the skimmer can remove

Is there anyway where i can remove nitrates

"Denitrification" bacteria is what you will be looking for.

In reefing applications, go for either DSB (deep sand bed), RDSB (remote deep sand bed) or large amount of porous liverocks. All these would be good "homes" for the required bacteria to proliferate.

You can alternatively opt for denitrators to solve the nitrate issue.

ok thk bro i know what to do already! but for my skimmer issue! what will u all get if u all are having a 2x2x2ft tank

Depends on whether you are using a sump.. no sump usually people opt for hangons.. People are selling MCE600.. supposed to be a good one..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."
