SRC Member albinosage Posted February 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2010 The green one has been photoshopped, but the golden one is legit Edit to clarify: The lemondrop appears legit, minimal photoshop probably to brighten certain parts if any. The green one screams photoshop all over it, but there are different motivations for why people might do that. Maybe the camera didn't do the anemone justice and they were trying to match the pic to what the naked eye sees. Senior Reefer yikai Posted February 22, 2010 Author Senior Reefer Share Posted February 22, 2010 the gold one is certainly unreal. as digiman said, its not just yellow but gold. and the green base is omg. not sure how much it costs there's a thread full of super exotic frags but i only pick the BTAs lol. the green one looks very photoshopped to me, but i dunno how to prove and the reasoning behind might be like wat binosage said, is to enhance the colours to the real thing. the gold one is just abosultely beautiful. for a colour morph like that, i wont even mind decomming half my tank worth of corals just for that anemone alone! SRC Member digibee Posted February 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2010 Can anemone be "frag" like aiptasia? If so, we can buy one and share Quote () Happy will do ... (o_o)
Gouldian
Technically can be done but suggest to do so in an isolated tank with its own filtration system as a dying anemone have been the culprit of many crashed tank. Senior Reefer yikai Posted February 22, 2010 Author Senior Reefer Share Posted February 22, 2010 yea bta and aiptasia can be fragged the same way. but BTA are more sensitive unlike the indestructable aiptasias, and thus require better water quality. cutting the BTA into two pieces along the mouth can frag the anemone into two. shredding it off the rock and hoping it will grow back, like aiptasia, will not work and will kill the BTA. SRC Member albinosage Posted February 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted February 22, 2010 LOL... Bro, Your Photoshop skills power!!! Can check whether it is photoshopped...Using invert effect or??? It's a process known as Error Level Analysis (ELA). Basically when you first save a jpeg, the compression is uniform. When you manipulate the jpeg later with a photo editor like photoshop and resave it, the parts that are touched up will have a different level of compression (or something like that la), this process forces out the parts that don't match. Interested can PM me for explanation, don't wanna derail the thread Quote My 1.5ft nano cube My 24G nano tank (Decommed) I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.
