DT's Live Marine Phytoplankton

Hi fellows, i bought a 443 ml bottle of it and can't finish.Never estimate properly .Its expiring on 020104 .....Still have about near 3/4 left.....selling at $15. Hope anyone out there with big tanks can help me...

Ya...according to instructions is like that....but in the 1st place it smells funny.... .....btw....cant expect anyone to buy with such a short lifespan left...just trying my luck...thkx morgan

I shall not comment on that .....but overdosing will affect the well being of my precious specimens. Its my 1st time buying DT....will buy smaller bottle nxt time.

I have been using my 'expired' DT for 3 weeks. so far so good.

long as you remember to conduct the nose test.

Its analogous to eating gardenia bread few days after tagged date.

manufacturers have pretty high safety factor.

just exercise prudency.

DT is live, not suppose to do anything drastic to your tank.

It should still be usable after expiration date, its just not best.. hehe..

if u see, as u get to the finishing of the bottle, the residue is damn green. tat's the concentration of the DT.. so alot more than enuff to worry abt the die off. shake abit, the DT will wake upz, n u can dose.

cyclop-eeze machiam like marble sizes.. more for fishes n LPS.

Hmmmm...maybe it is live when it is in the bottle..but it does not imply it can live long once you pour it into your tank. Differences in temperature, pH, salinity, etc will surely shock the phytoplankton giving it a very very short survival period in your tank. Try overdosing and you will get an algae bloom..personal experience.

Marine Snow!? same same lor....Planktonic food for filter feeding marine invertebrates...I happen to be using.....not bad I should say....my corals are doing pretty fine.

Ingredients:Deionized water, phytoplankton (Nannpchloropsos, Tetraselmis, Isochrysis, Spirulina, Schyzochitrium), seaweed meal, zooplankton, fish oil and citric acid......copying from the bottle....hehe
