khiann
again my 3x3 cube. This is the first time it survive handsfree for 7 days without any casualties. For the past 3 years, everytime i go for 7 days vacation, it will have a few colony lost or major/minor crash. Only issues during the new year holidays was 2 hours of blackout and slightly choked CR intake effluent. Balackout was backed by the UPS converter running one rio 20 and 3 tunze. CR causing slight drop in KH from 10 to 8. For the entire duration, the tank was monitor only by a webcam, visually ensure light and chiller are okay twice a day through my phone. suprisingly, 7 days without my hand touching the water, color look much better for some colonies and growth is just crazy. well, algae too grow like crazy FTS Left side right side Very nice babyblue polyp candlelight two hand size yellow/green BN my precious 30cm diameter undata tricolor fiji table

Senior Reefer yikai Posted February 19, 2010 Senior Reefer Share Posted February 19, 2010 hi khiann. might i suggest making only one tank thread? its easier for reefers to look at your updates instead of having to look at a new thread everytime you update your tank. plus its quite messy too. so far you have created 4 tank threads for 4 different sets of events. hope you can just stick to 1 and all updates into that thread. and really nice SPS tank! 3ft cube is a dream for me. i love cube tanks and 3ft is really a good length for cubes. khiann
Hi Lemon noted, i will keep only this thread alive and continue to post only here I am using 400w 20K lighting with 4xATI blue plus. So the color is always too blue for the camera white balance.

khiann
thx everyone ... still lots of improvement needed especially on the rubbermaid sump and lots of algae in main tank. i am on 1x400w hamilton 20k MH, 4x3 feet Blue plus T5 2x6100, 1x6105 with 7096 as wavemaker, 2x resun blowing the BB 1x UPS on battery sufficient to power the Rio20 and 6105 for 8 hours 1xMD55 Return T to chiller 1xRio20 Return connecting to UPS Beckett Skimmer, not sure is 4 or 5 feet on MD55 8 inch DIY CR about 2 feet tall. on 3500LPH recirculating. flowing at almost constant connecting drip. 1.5 bubble per sec KH at 9-11, Cal at 450, MG not measure 1ml vodkha/sugar per day alternate pretty simple sump, just some rock, with chaeto i am actually on 1 Rio 20HF and 32HF, but today the 32HF shatter to pieces with no reason at the intake plastic part. DO NOT USE Rio again. Luckily i am on 2x return and the water actually back flow with siphone, sufficient to feed the chiller until i found out the accident. khiann
Wow! Bro Khiann, your sps color are superb. Envy the PE of all your sps wonderful <img src="http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bowdown.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="bowdown.gif" /> Good job! I dont see any algae in your main tank? You have really good colonies there and I believed it full blown SPS not a mix reef? Do you drive any cultured bacteria? my tank is a full sps only reef and not mix reef. there are plenty of hair algae at the back of the tank wall, as well as at the bottom of the tank. Due to the algae outbreak, i stopped dosing vodkha and just depends on the beckett. Strange enough, i just do not get much coralline algae growth no matter what i try. Also there is some AEFW outbreak again on valida colony, dipping sessions here are the new FTS side shot added one more frag rack
