hi guys, just to let you guys know what happened to this algae. (the top green one not the bottom red one)

as i thought it was harmless.

it grew so fast suddenly after i started dosing aquapharm 5 in 1 coral food.

didn't noticed it till one day when i saw it it's all over my tank.

lost my eagle eye zoas and one more colony of zoas to this.

these algae will grow over the corals/rocks/tank walls and "root to it" therefore it's harder to remove it.

hope these will help other reefers reduce the % of losing corals to it.

some caulerpa sp probably. just pull everything out. have to be persistent as the roots with stems left over will regrow. control nutrients is more important. i think you might be over dosing your coral food causing nutrients to rise.
