jumpy diamond goby

my diamond goby is out of tank for the 3rd time

1st - when 1st introduce, it jump out in less than 5 mins

2nd - the next day, when i pass by the tank, it jump out again, DIY cover but there are still small opening

1 week later - it is out again

thankfully it only manage to jump out when i am around

anyone know the reason?

tank mate only 2 turbo snails

water parameter

ammonia, nitrite 0

nitrate 5ppm

temp 26 degree celsius

salinity 1.024

pH 8.1

others not tested

Bro how deep is yr sandbed?yr goby need to build a home for itself on the sandbed 1st before it can settle down. Or u can put in some tube for it to hide for now until it digs a home for itself where it can hide when feel threated. Try not to go too near it for the 1st week.

it might be scared by u... when they felt threaten they will jump out of the tank

bro u need thicker sandbed then. If not nxt time he will js move all the sand to his hs and u will find big holes on yr sandbed lolz

my yellow headed oso jumped out 3 times..fainz... but now heng settled liao..once yr goby settled everything will be ok..js dont go too near for 1st week..by then its 'home' wil be ready.my sandbed is ard 2-3
