Yes to aerate the water and bring down the PH.

My Setup:

3x2x2 tank with IOS

Equipment List:

Chiller: Artica 1/5HP

Chiller Pump: Sicce 4000

Return Pump: OR3500

Skimmer: Deltec APF600

Wavemaker: Tunze Wavebox/2x Hydor K2/SCWD wavemaker

Lights: DElighting 2x150W MH + 2x 39W T5 Atinic

FR: Skimz

FR Pump: Atman AT-104

Tubby ATO, Kalkweisser Reactor with magnetic stirrer.

lol the correct answer is yes. but.....

I use my hand to mix salt and leave for at least 24hrs. Come to think of it, I have a pail waiting for me to do WC at home tt has been left to stand for 3 days already. Crystal clear water, no salt particles left.

In your case, I still suggest aerating as your pico will not do well to a wild fluctuations.

Actually, i plan to mix around 12l of salt mix and leave the rest in the jerry can. I think it can last me for around 1 month +...

by the time, all the salt particules should have dissolve. Which mean i don't really need to air pump? Correct me if i am wrong.

You can always take out what you need and aerate it the night before. :) Remember to check salinity and allow temperature to settle down to tank temperature before adding!

Noted. Haha.. Today is just the 5th day of my cycling .. Might visit AM during Chinese New Year..:)
