1 blue tang & 1 flame angel (my favorite fish) have white spots over their body, the flame angle even have a swollen right eye.

Both r in the quarantine tank, doesn't really look sick, still eating n swimming happily.

Pls recommend suitable medication or whatever remedy.

Fast replies will be greatly appreciated.

I hate ich as much as anybody, if not more so.

Either bring down the salinity level of the Q-tank to 1.010 sg and maintain that for a month, then over 2 weeks, raise the sg back to normal levels.

That should kill the ich inside the tank/on the fish.

Whether they survive the stress induced is another question.

As for the pop-eye... it could be a physical injury and will heal over 2 weeks or it could be something worse... like internal problems eg. kidneys or liver...

If you are willing to risk medication, you can check out Seachem's Cupramine, its supposed to be superior to copper sulfate. Use wisely in your treatment tank.

Coppersafe is one of the most toxic copper treatments around... !!

It will probably kill your fish as well as any ich!

Using copper to treat livestock is a very risky procedure... as different fishes have different sensitivity levels.

Hi NormanH,

try mixing the food with garlic juice and feed the fish. It will improve yr fish immune system & also produce a coating on the fish body mucus which ich hate & will drop off. Do this for 2-3 wks to prevent ich from finding a host.

Wei :)
