What Reef Addictives to use

I am keeping some LPS and soft corals. If I do not dose kalkwasser, what other addictives I can use to promote growth for my corals.

Very regular water change and you don't need to use anything.

Provided that you have the right lighting condition and temperature.

Mine is 2 ft tank with 2x24w t5, temp around 27-28 deg( no chiller). Is 20 pct water change every 2 weeks good enough. So what you are saying adding things like reef buffer/builder is redundant if you do reg water change. I think there are many reefer out there dose kalk, is that really important? :thanks

Have you tried crack cocaine?

If you are refering to additives or supplements then kalkwasser dosed correctly is all you need. Stuff like reef builder and buffer or other calcium supplement have their purposes in correcting any inbalances in the calcium and alkalinity levels. Kalkwasser is just a means to add calcium and carbonates to the water, there are other ways like 2-parts and other things but it will be the cheapest on the long run, not considering a calcium reactor.
