Yellow wrasses to fight nudis

Recommended Posts

Want to get yellow wrasses but end up i bought a yellow and purple wrassesis also known as the White or Four Spot wrasse instead as they really look alike, Haiz! Will it perform the same function of removing the nudis? Thanks.

the real yellow wrasse might not even eat nudis in the first place. its all trial an error and luck. but smaller specimens tend to do work very well.

i have never heard people using the one you bought as a form of nudi control.. it might work if the wrasse is small enough. remember, only smaller juveniles tend to do work better...

Alamak, seem both the yellow n Four Spot wrasse but the Four Spot wrasse is smaller n i thought it is the yellow wrasses juveniles, lol. But the 2 Four Spot wrasse is pecking on the floor bed for the whole day, is it normal? This morning i still see the nudis crawling on my zoa, very sian.

wrasse control should be used as a preventive measure and not the solution to your problems. if you already have a nudi problem, get them out now and cure it yourself. dont rely on the fishes.

yup u r right. Just do a fresh water dip for all the zoa, and remove all the nudis that is inside, hopefully there is no egg. Hopefully all the zoa will not be too stress. :heh:
