Where should i put the outlet of the ozone to? Thanks~ Definitely not directly into your main tank for a start.. skimmerless tank? Nano? so I guess you also do not have a sump then? Quote Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth? SRC Member teebs Posted February 4, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted February 4, 2010 HI all, am considering adding ozone to my tank which is skimmerless at the moment. Is it possible? Where should i put the outlet of the ozone to? Thanks~ Ozone is seldom if ever injected anywhere other than into a skimmer and for that matter, the skimmer outlet should preferable be connected to a FR filled with carbon. Ozone must not be allowed to enter your aquarium because it can kill your fish and invertebrates and/or damage the beneficial bacterial in your biological filter. Also, ozone gas is unsafe to breath and can cause irritation even in small concentrations. If you have a sump, then you can bubble the ozone into the first compartment of the sump but before the water is pumped back into your tank, it has to pass through carbon. Solo77
It's seem useless to run ozone without skimmer. It is suppose to draw ozone to allow mixing with the water and skim better as ozone breaks down bigger particles to smaller one. I mat be wrong, good to search past posting to understand it's concept and setup. Good day.
