You are spot on. Its from AM :eyebrow:

Welcome back bro. Chiller inside cabinet will cause hot air trap inside unless u install exhaust fan2blow it out.(sauna in tv area) Even though artica is quiet+good brand the amount of hot air blown out can be scary.

Nice colour cabinet. Looking fwd for more update.

Cheers

The finished product

Hi are you using mh or ati?

I noticed there isnt any ventilation gap on top of cabinet where u hse your light=hot air trap inside=chiller kicking in often.

If you can recall my tank design its almost the same as yours but i added ventilation hole. Recently Ah Do added one more exhaust fan inside to expell out the hot air. Maybe u want to discuss this issue with Steve.

Waiting for your hse opening to view your tank.

Cheers:)

I had an exhaust fan installed to transfer the heat from the chiller out from the cabinet

Does your exhaust fan do the job? Because we are facing the same problem as well with our chiller in our cabinet. :P Is the cabinet now cooler? feel any heat at all?

Thanks!! :) Desi

Cheers, ;)

Very nice setup... tight space but actually very tidy and organised leh!

How I wish I could have more space in the sump to keep warties or some other special species just like one of the reefers did in his old tank. I think it will be interesting...

Luckily still manage to squeeze in a refugium with less than 1.5ft width...

Cabinet is cool as the exhaust fan is very powerful. U may get heat stroke if u stand beside the exhaust fan cos its really blowing out lots of heat!

My wife is complaining how come that area is super hot when the chiller is running...

Is the fan VEry noisy? Or it's just like a constant whirl?

;) Desi

So far its quiet, but I don't know whether it will get noisy when age catches up. Its KDK and i believe its one of the quietest in the market...

In fact the chiller is noisier than the fan when it kicks in.

very classy :eyebrow:

love the part that covers the fan exhaust area.

bro may i ask where your chiller inlet comes from? my guess is the overflow box with a pump there? or from the sump and outlet back into the main tank?

Thanks bro

Chiller inlet comes from last compartment of the sump via a pump and return back up to main tank. Actually wanted to explore direct feed to chiller from overflow but decided against it...

is the refugium built in?? or u just place a small tank inside

it's built in together when designing the compartments of the sump. Basically sump has got 3 compartments. 1 for skimmer and FR, next for refugium and last compartment for return pump.

A pic of my sump, its in a mess due to the limited space...

Nice tank, earth. By the way, your electrical power bar is directly under your overflow pipe. If the pipe leaks, you risk an electrical hazard. AM did mine exactly the same way, and I moved it to the side out of any reach of water. Suggest you to consider moving your power bar as well just to be safe...
