LED require less electricity to run and they dun produce as much heat compared to any other light!

Do they really require less electricity? From what I see, we still require an x amt of wattage for the tanks.. from what I see its almost comparable to T5 and MH.

Good side though it it produces way less heat, which in turns lessens the load on the chiller.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

Yes, it will require less electricity, comparing PAR to PAR. Typically about 25% less. But need to take account of those cooling fans to reduce the LED heat, but not much. The main electric savings are from the chiller. I see no point putting strong heat into the water and then get the chiller to cool the water down.
