The water level is the part that i cannot control. . . unless with auto - topup.

I am running constantly with a 12VDC Coolermaster blue led fan ;)

i need to top up the evaporated water everyday.

Lucky for me, the skimmer is able to fit very nicely in the return pump compartment, without eating into the display tank area :)

Since yours is an office tank, it is best that you get an ATO system. Especially during the weekends, evaporation will cause huge swings in your perimeters if not carefully monitored. Do consider some safety measures in case equipment fails (float switch not working, getting stuck, etc).

Very likely i will be adding ATO, as i will be gg on leave for 1-1/2 weeks!

Wonder if my colleague can take care for me... haiz..haha

But with WTO, i will have a storage tank below my Desk! "o.O OMG!

Bro those are nudibranches, most probably zoa eating ones. Better to remove all of them. Have you noticed zoa polyps dying for no reason?

Some wrasses will actually feed on them, small yellow wrasse and 6 line are the more hardworking ones. Yellow wrasse is usually preferred cos it is the less aggressive of the two. In the meantime, read up on pests to zoas, you will probably need to manually remove any eggs you see. If the infestation is serious, use Coral RX, Flatworm exit or Lugols with fresh water to dip them then let the wrasse do the rest.

Guys, just got myself a hammer.

Seems abit funni today.

See below pictures taken...

There seems to have threads emerging from the centre of the hammer coral.

What is it doing? Melting? I doubt so.

Need comments...

Hi bro,

I have seen those from my zoas, and other corals before too.

I think it is either poo-ing or getting stressed.

My take is that : leave it for a while and it clears up, then nothing much to be concerned about.

cheers

Hahaha, Jacky the poo-watcher!

I also saw zoas poo, black slimey jelly...eeee

BTW, i witnessed the reef version of " drag me to hell " yesterday!

upon feeding my plate coral with a dead fresh water fish, all the "hands" were dragging the 1/2 inch body to the "hole"! Spectacluar!:evil::evil:

.... ummm thanks for another "nice" name !wacko.gif

yeah sometimes they really release a lot poo..... thats why I prefer to use a stronger flow in the tank and skipped mushrooms.

kidding wor, dont take it to heart :)

to reduce the use of wave maker, i use a higher flow of return plump.

But problem is, there are areas in the nano that were covered by the return waves.

hence, lotsa poos and debrises were lying around :S

no worries bro .... not so petty lah..... else would have burned down that Ray fella's house already!!!

Saw that you tank is underflow. is there an overflow into your mechanical filtration too?

If debris are cycling within your tank beyond half a day, then maybe you can look into improving your mechnical filtration.
