Hi all

I just bought a crystal pro and was eagerly going to use it to top up my tank.

Good thing is that I checked the PH of the treated water before doing so.

THe PH was at 9.5

Tested raw tap water PH... 9

Wow... nvr know that they are so high.

Have you guys experience this before and how do you lower it to 8.2?

Weird. I thought water being treated by DI should have a lower pH?

My tapwater fresh out of the tap has a pH of 9.0. If I leave the tapwater standing for about 5 mins, the pH drops to 8.5. If I left it sitting longer the pH would probably drop further.

Always something more important than fish.

I kept a bottle of DI water from yesterday evening till this morning.

PH still 9.5 :(
