wattage use is a good guage.

alternatively, run both pump in a similar volume to test. measure the temperature for both after a few hours of running.

Sometimes the temperature may not be from your equipments, if your room temperature is 30 degrees it will be hard for the tank to maintain at 28 degrees.

If you suspect your equipment, you can remove it and let in run in a pail of water. Measure the temperature of the water before and after the addition and you will have an idea.

If you are keen, I am sure there will be shops willing to do a demo for you and getting the before and after temperature should be easy.

Alternatively, get a bro that have a hydor to do it for you.

29 degrees is OK for most marine animals.. what are you intending to keep in a nano tank that is so temperature sensitive?

i have a star fish, a zoa. i wanna keep a brain ,bubble and shroom. but the guy at sea life says that i should not keep lps corals at 29. sea life just got lots of sea stars damm beautiful i bought one for 15
