can i store up the Seawater from LFS in a drum ?

I have stored NSW for up to 2 months previously so if you are storing for 1 month, then it should not be a problem. But do take note that salinity of the NSW as well as the calclium/mag concentration can and do vary from batch to batch.

better to use a air pump n wavemaker if u intent to keep for so long. once i kept nsw in a pail n after 1 wk, the water turned cloudly, i remember i saw on a thread that ppl were saying not good to keep nsw for too long.......

I keep about 70 liters in a tub and aerate it but my consumption is fast within a month.

If you are using them within 3 days, then its ok.

For storage, I was advised by Iwarna to aerate it.

nsw contains organisms and bacterias, so without some form of water circulation, the organisms in the water will die and foul up the water

i would also suggest putting a wavemaker / air stone inside to "circulate" the water, that time the wavemaker stop working and few days later, the water turned "cloudy" without any circulation.

therefore i would suggest circulation with a pump/wavemaker/airstone.

i keep them almost a month and has been in this arrangement for a year plus. So far ok for me. For the bacteria, it will kill both good and bad and for me, i think i dont need the bacteria, just want good water parameter and supplement trace element. For nano tank, maybe good to have aerated NSW due to less water volume which will affect parameter drastically.
