If you are referring to the pink color thing that looked like a shitake mushroom, it's a leather soft coral. Sarcophyton Sp.

if the tips are blunt or bulb - Majano.

both are considered pests.

LOL... have your fingers crossed. Depends on how you've removed it, it might comeback. Any leftover tissue has potential to become a clone.
