Uses only 1W.

Nice shimming effect at night. I use 2 for my 5ft.

At least my fishes are not startled by the sudden switching off of lights.

I did some DIY .. bought blue LED from siml im tower, soldered it & covered it with silicon sealant!

But then cus of salt the led leads do corrode in the long run!

Finally just put blue PL lights... easier solution..!

I bought the LED strip from Sim Lim Tower. Its protected by the plastic strip so no corrosion. 1 strip was around $15 then. Maybe price has dropped by now.

l love the effects of the moonlight after the main lights are off. Very therapeutic to watch. Also, fishes won't get so freak out when the mainlights are suddenly off.
