But one thing though. As these are those normal liverock, when I first got them Quite dirty. have to prepare and clean them and cure seperately before I put them in the display tank. Normally 2 week. Then sit back and let nature do its job. wait a month and see the coraline cover the rocks lor.

Dont believe in fiji rock. Cant stand the idea of paying like $20 per kg for rocks. WHen they also look so dull just that its cured (but think of it this way. they are so ex, few people buy so sit very long that why cured ma!! he he.... No offence. Just my 2cts worth. Even with fiji rock, if your system/water not good, coraling will not grow anyway so wats the diff?? rock are just rock. It is how they look and not where they are from. <_<<_<

I fully agree with you.

With good water flow and constant supplement...any liverock can be covered with coralline algae.

I dont mean the porous part. I mean due to the way they are dried and prepared before shipping, the time to travel and the curing, end up lots of die off. Although cured, the color all gone also. Not much coraline. Most of what I saw are dull in color. I know they are porous and nice shape.

But those from indonesia and phillipines also got porous one and nice shpe. just have to take time to hunt and only buy when you see nice and porous ones lor. They also for branch one also.

Just my personal opinion. Like what mao say. no matter what cat so long can catch rat is good cat!! he he.... ;);)

Fiji rocks = Mercedez Benz.

trust me on that. there is a HUGE and distinct difference with Fiji rocks. when I mean HUGE, I mean figuratively and physically

Well I would say I can get a Ford Falcon XR8 5.2lt V8, get the comfort, get the size, for half the price and make the Merce smell my exhaust. It is just a brand thing. Just look at the merce taxi, expensive car does not mean you crash dont die!!

frankly, you can do whatever compraissons you want with whatever cars.

in this case, there is a reason with the branding. the sizes are rather astronomical, and you can't find the same colourations anywhere else.

just because you chanced upon a set of rocks with bad colourations doesn't necessarily mean all the Fiji rocks are like that.

you may have irked a couple of Fiji rock users, by the way.

did not mean any offence. just my personal opinion and perference only la. so dont get offended. Everyone got their own way of doing things ma.:rolleyes:

If got the spare cash and wanna go for fiji rocks, why not. Just for me I would spend it somewhere else only. I am not denying that they might be better (dont know for sure) just that for me the price is not justified only lor. :P:P

Glad to hear that it drop liao. hmm....... probably cos now got people selling normal live rocks for as low as $4/kg. if they dont drop no one buy. hmm..... wonder if it will drop anymore?? :heh::heh::heh:

Where?? Where??

I think I better stock up now. Need at least 100 kg.

Very heartache to spend too much money on rock.
