That's a Tang is I'm not wrong. Probably an Orange Shoulder Tang.

acan lord is quite easy to take care so long they are feed adequately.

yr candy cane dun seems to be doing well. what type of lights are you using? try to place them at the top, they need strong lights.

yr leather softie will release mucus every now and then and may affect the rest of yr corals. its a form of protective mechanism and the mucus is toxic...if you want to keep this, better have carbon in yr sump to absorb them.

previously i have problem with my candy cane also...the heads start to rot as if something is eating its flesh...most likely its a form of disease...i cut off the unhealthy heads away...but by then, it spreads to the rest..eventually i have to dispose them.

Anyway, interesting scape...all stacked up like a hill...

got this rics from GO a couple of weeks ago(2 of them).did some reading and there are some reefers who cut it into half.so i experiment it myself.took 1 of my ric and icut it into half and now i have 3 ricsand i've glued all 3 to a small rock.this is the pic but im not too sure if it is doing well.hope some expert can comment.

I presume that the ric you cut had 2 mouths? Most people will only cut a ric with two mouths to propogate it. If you cut a ric with only 1 mouth, it may not work.

What type of common ones are you looking for? Common ones are those that are green or blue only. More expensive ones would be those that are Orange, Pink, Red, Yellow...

Anyway, PM what colours you are looking for and how many you want and I'll see what I can do.

It is not necessary to cut the ric with 2 mouths or to cut it thru its mouth... What is important is that your water quality is good and the cut to the ric is a clean cut... Also not forgetting to have a low flow of current to "wash" away the slime produced.. From the picture, your fragged ric is doing very well IMHO.. I've accidentally "tear" one of my blue ric and it is surviving well now...

thanks for the compliment.its a glass tank called BOYU. Got it from another reefer here.remove the canopy and installing my maxspect today but the built in fan is not working.so for the time being im stuck with no light. Anyway im new to this hobby too so still need to learn more.hope to see your setup soon.
