MCE 300 is pretty lousy... Get the MCE600 if you have the dough.

They are using a lower end pump and also the needle wheel is not very good as compared to the MCE600. There have been numerous complaints on the MCE300 model at RC regarding pump failure, pump not restarting after shutdown for maintenance etc.

Size wise, there is really not much difference between the MCE300 and MCE600. U can check the dimension specs on the Deltec website to verify.

I am using the MCE600 on my 2x1x1 tank. So it can be used in a tank with a 1ft width...
