The old model is using 3W... Not sure about this new one... Visually it seems brighter than the old one...

I think the price should be the range above 1k...

the very 1st range that has the colour changing properties is using 3w rgb led but is not very bright, the 2nd series which is the "ocean" range uses 1w white and blue leds, much brighter then the 1st 1 , this new range uses 1.5w leds and pack with more leds per array , ya i believe it should be in the 1k+ range of course the cheaper the better, more volume lesser profit hopefully
