hey guys realised my skimmer not skimming as it should be. i suspect maybe e pump needlewheel needs replacement. anyone has experience changing the needlewheel? where is the recommended place to get it? AM?

thanks!

SL is the distributor for H & S. You can get the needle from there but price is not cheap.

i am a HnS user. Well take out your NW and check if there is snails or whatever items or sand bits stuck @ the nw. take it out and ofccoz run in inside in your or a pail of water to check for the performance. well need lots of "fine tunning"

ytd i just found out my hns not working and true enuff there is a snail shell @ the nw. so i remove it and the nw become very noisy so after cleaning and cleaning its back to normal

i just finished installing my hns Nw pump into the skimmer. still under observation. :)

thanks for e update man... perhaps is a stupid snail doing it. i will dig it out.

btw wats the cost for the needlewheel, i heard its not cheap but well anything to give skimmer juice. :D

Prehapes you can also try soaking the pump in vinegar for a few hour / or a day ? It work for me previously.. :)

hey guys my H&S skimmer is acting weird. there are bubbles but the foam cant climb up the cup... and alot of micro bubbles are appearing in my main tank.

is it due to the o ring being worn out? maybe i should run out to get a new one where can i get a replacement other than SL?

Have you tried clearing the air tubing of dirt, especially at the intake?

I have tried once and it helps with the bubbles density.

Another way would be the foaming or water level may need adjustment.

Or could it be that your dkh has drop?

my air tubing ok leh.

i suspect is either my epoxy of the sps causing it or the o ring.

anyway i cleaned it again. hopefully it shld be ok.
