Bumblebee snails are good for scavenging uneaten food, It's not a good choice for algae control. Together with Nassarius snails, they are good scavengers if you have a sand bed because they bury themselves into the sand and keep the sand agitated.

Turbo, Asterea, Trochus, Cerith, and Nerite snails are the better choice for algae control.

BTW, There is also some anecdotal evidence that bumblebee snails will feed on zoanthids and polyps.

my BB snail has resided on my zoas rock for a few days already not moving.

I thought it was dead.

I pick it out the other day and place it on the sand bed.

seeing this topic, today I went back to check and realize it is back on the same zoa rock again.

better keep a close eye on it...... worried.
