You can buy the air stone from Clementi 328. Its actually a wooden block.

Is there a specfic way to use that or just throw in and pump air? as what i understand, it not really advisable to create air bubble in a marine tank. as in openly, not as in those protein skimmer where it a controlled environment.

I advise you to get a boyu internal skimmer instead. It may be less efficient than an air stone skimmer, but after a few months, the cost of buying the wooden airstones ($2.50 a piece, replace every 1-2 months) will settle in... I bought one and it served me well for 1 year or so before i changed to a more powerful reef octo. Compact and as silent as i wanted it to be.

A basic air stone skimmer is around 7 bucks from clementi, air pump not included. A boyu skimmer (the smallest model) is around 25 bucks. Clementi should sell it as well.

Anyway, consider getting a full sized skimmer if you want to keep a good reef tank. The investment is worth it, if you are planning to stay in the hobby for a long time.

As for the bubbles, bubbles may irritate some coral species and spoil the view of the tank. Some skimmers leak very fine air bubbles back into the tank. That's what most reefers complain about, cos the small bubbles float around in the tank and mar the view (you can see thousands of air bubbles everywhere in the tank).
