What happened? U sure it's dead and not "disappear" as they love to burrow and hide in sand.

101% dead...put in the betta box this morning and called my mom just now and she said is long gone my yellow and purple wrasse :pinch:

Hey digibee, read tt you are using eheim 1000 to power your chiller. Yours is a 1/10hp right? If it is, I think it's way too underpowered for your Arctica. How long does it take to chill your tank?

i used to have one,

and there was once it went into hiding for about 4days..

i thought it was dead until one morning i woke up to see it swimming happily...

Sorry for your loss bro.

sometimes, some fishes just cannot make it regardless of tank conditions.

it was hiding but came out yesterday morning lying flat and breathless so i put it in the betta box. By afternoon, it has gone in peace. :cry:

Hi, bought this fish last weekend; I thought it is a hawkfish; but it is not.

Geometric Pigmy Basslet (Plectranthias inermis)

Some write up about this fish:

"The Geometric Flame Basslet, sometimes referred to as a hawkfish, is rare and recent in the aquarium trade.

It is white with bright red blotches. It may bother small crabs shrimp and crustaceans, but is otherwise reef safe.

Its small size makes it ideal for nano or species tanks. Hawkfish will feed on small meaty foods such as

plankton or fortified brine shrimp. They are reef safe."

CF usually stock less than 1 inch sizes. Do watch out for ya Sexy or Anemone Shrimps though if U happen to keep them in ya tanky.

would suggest you to superglue the zoas to small rock base to add on to the weight of the zoas so that it will not be blown away... then after if you want, can epoxy the small base to your LR..

So far, most reefers i know suggest don't epoxy corals to rocks as later you have problem removing it.. i suggest you place it away from your wavebox..

Those large coral chips will do nicely too.

can cut the chip to shorter length if the elongated shape is an eyesore.

I kept the ones in your 2026 previously :)

can pass you some if you need them. :P

I am going to separate all my zoas into frags of ten polyps on these chips.

Pros - can ensure survival if one of the frags caught disease.

- can see growth / decline easier

- can sell if wanted

They do. I tucked Peter's frag of 7 polups into a hole on a rock.

It is firmly encrusted now with 20+ polyps.

probably take about 2 - 3 weeks to secure themselves.

Yeah, upgrading issue.

Anyway, I am looking for filter sock to tie to my return pipe into the sump;

this is to reduce bubbles .... as I think more bubbles are seen in my tank.

No wonder I could not take a clear picture these days!

My pipe diameter is about 2 inch.

Not sure where to get the filter sock though.
