those markings look like eggs! i looked closely and they look like small individual dots. not unlike markings. nassarius snails are known to spawn in captivity too.

So will it hatch?

firstly, im only guessing its eggs lol. could not be but im quite sure they are. secondly they will hatch only if they are fertilised. if they do, they will probably not survive till adulthood.

Hahaha, just check only .... because this one snail has been doing this thing now and then.

And usually, I clean it up after a couple of days.

Sometimes my only one turbo snail help me out.

Cheers!

Hi!

Some updates since the break ....!

Yes, got the african flameback angel.

This is one beautiful angel fish .... though I think a little bit big.

Now already in the tank swimming here and there; eating things on the wall and cyclopeze.

And here are my clowns .... making the torch as their home.

And this flamehawk .... still shy since first day....though getting bolder just a little tiny bit!

My radioactive sps seems to be growing already. That is good news.

And here are some zoas ..... see found my miami vice back under a rock .... a little bit injured;

a couple of polyps dropped off; but now they are doing fine!

Also got a couple of new ones, yellow, green ones last weekend.

But could not get the original colors with my camera.

Luke,

you might want to consider getting rid of your tuxedo once your algae boom is over.

It eats up coraline algae and leaves your rocks white!

I heard that the rock might then leak phosphate once that happens.

Yeah, I think so too.

Nearly got poke by it when trying to adjust corals position.

Also, recently found my phosphate a little high;

Will get rowaphos this weekend.

hehe I use bare hands to pick mine off the wall all the time last time :)

ya..i had these "markings" recently created by my nassarius snails...but i cleaned it off.

i saw them making out..thought they r eating each other. Later realised they left behind the markings.

rocks will not leech PO4 if there is no coraline. the tuxedo urchin might stick zoanthid frags on it as "camouflage", and its annoying..

nice tank btw digibee. looks pretty full :) btw that anemone is a majano. a pest that grows and spreads quickly. you might want to consider removing it.

Majano does not spread Lemon. Once it settle down in a location, it will not budge.

reproductive activities is also at a minimum, almost non existent.

they do... but slower than aiptasia. and harder to kill too..

speed of spreading depends on many factors like nutrient level, light, predation etc. in nutrient rich water, aiptasia spreds extremely quickly. majano spreads but never as fast as aiptasia...

Let me see when mine reproduce.

I killed 2 of mine. left one as an exhibit.

murder suggestion: either epoxy over it or take a sharp toothpick, poke it straight into the mouth when it is opened wide, twist and turn the toothpick. it will melt and die instantly.
