Yes, but it also results in a wider narrower jet of water that could go further than a wide muzzle opening would give.

I agree that the 'duckbill' should be open up much more. At that kind of opening, barely can get 300l/hr flowing out.

Narrower jet mean no coral should be near to it. Or else the coral tissue will kenna 'cut' by the water flow..

With 2 x 6100 Streams at each end of the tank , do i still need to do the duckbill so that the returning water can reach further or issit totally redundant considering the reach and push of the streams?

I dun like 'duckbill'. I rather let the maximum amount of water flowing out of it to turn over the water between tank and sump. The stream will do much of the job for internal circulation.

Newly Laid sandbed with 100kg worth of C0 sand making an uneven bed of about 2 inches height in average

This is me trying my best to fix up the streams. The clip doesnt look like it was holding well unto the eurobracing but after tightening up the various screws and adjusting the clips to get maximum grip, it looks like it will hold. *fingers crossed*

The tank after adding water nearly to the overflow. Did not overflow due to sump chances being made by Han Tack at my requests of course.

Flow from a Stream 6100 at 50% setting. A very very recommended pump. Can see the whole water being circulated and sumtimes can even see mini tornado at the sandbed.. way cool!

Kiki, those are the Arcadia 3 Series. Holds 3 x 250W MH and 2 x Actinic FL. It has separate built-in timers for the MH and FL too.

Yup, as expected the duckbill was really screwing up the water flow so have reverted back to the normal PVC opening and the flow is much better now..

Sump in online as of yesterday and will update with pics either tonite or tomorrow morning.

Have also mixed in about 20KG of Aquamedic Reef Salt and have left it to fully dissolve before adding more tonite.
